The first in October 2010, the Secretariat of the CUD has hosted the 5th meeting of the Steering Group North. The meeting were new faces: Leo Van Biesen (VUB) who will coordinate the campus of Bujumbura with Etienne LOUT and Jan Peter DECLEYN KENNIS replacing the campus of Kisangani. Jean-René Augustin KANYIMBU GALEKWA and monitoring mission to the Backbone of UNIKIN took advantage of their presence in Belgium to attend the meeting as observers. 
The steering group provided an update on the progress of projects and campus activities transverse: - the successful installation of electrical devices permanently CEDESURK and UNILU,
- the start of the encoding students on the application GP7 impaired drivers in several universities,
- the evolution of Internet connectivity in the DRC
- solutions outsourcing critical services to ensure a permanent and easy access to email and website each university
Rendezvous is set in February 2011 to take stock of the implementation rate of programs and budgets.
