Instructions To Build A Toy Box

"La commissaire n'aime point les vers" de Georges Flipo - Editions La Table Ronde

It took me some time to get into reading the latest issue of Georges Flipo, a book which I do not like the track and sat on my shelves ... But as I have already had occasion to say here, I like the spirit of the Epicurean man through his blog, so that these two previous works (who, like Ulysses, this film will make a killing) rather convinced me to pursue a long way in his literary company.

And this time, the author takes us on the side of the fleece. For us to walk (run), he invented Vivian Spear, commissioner of the state conducting the investigation surrounding the discovery of a sonnet which Baudelaire is the author and that sows death among collectors, scholars, Homeless families and strange ... In this survey held from beginning to end, Georges Flipo feasts clearly distill his information with the police staged a multitude of characters. Perhaps too, for that matter, as it happened to me sometimes get lost among all those names, oddly.

Having read here and there that harbored the book quite a bit of humor, I admit to not having seen. But where the author acknowledges, this is the ability to talk about people, to drag these things that shape his characters and give them and the body. Oh sure, one can find very the same old tiresome concerns Viviane its destiny as a woman coming to grips with his diet, but once the investigation is focused around its development, we take this game lightly dusty and outdated as a chair of the French Academy. In short, you never get bored without being transported by this survey which Viviane Lancer is regarded more as a Derrick Charentaises as a Jason Bourne as amphetamines. In any case, expect the second investigation by the Commissioner since this book is the launch of a series ... The author has had the opportunity to tell me personally (and oui, je connais du monde dans le chaud business) que la date de sortie avait été choisie. On saura alors si Viviane est bonne pour le service…

Food That Last The Longest

Gabriel croise les gens et s’immisce imperceptibly into their space: women and men chipped by the passage of time over which they have no control. Undergoing the mundane life as survivors ... To console them, win them or make them happy, he makes them to eat more often. He does it so well.

Pascal Garnier writes beautifully. Basing his account on simplicity, it creates a quiet empathy, almost mesmerizing, the characters for no apparent relief when only the cross: a receptionist at a hotel terribly lonely, exhausted and unhappy a restaurateur, a couple on borrowed time. The author takes his time, dissects casually hooked atoms, looks into the void and silence. It magnifies the little surreptitious nature of things, and devotes himself with relish to the inert weight. theory panda is one of those rare moments that combine accuracy with a certain irony, sadness, despair and tragedy, with the fierce desire to be still a man's height. Then, implicitly, the author delivers in these pages a few bits of explanations, some keys on the path of Gabriel. Its history. One understands, too quickly perhaps, that the outcome was his evidence, it is written. That the trace left by Gabriel ... Like the indelible Pascal Garnier, who died last March.

"Implications" by Philippe Djian - Editions Gallimard

It does not look like much, Marc. The fifty assumed, giving writing courses at the university, he loves his young students. Closely. Very closely. Very closely. One night, intoxicated, he returned home in good company to wake up in the morning alongside a dead woman. Panic? Not that much, even if we get rid of the body. If the beginning of the book breathes the English black humor, detached, one falls fast in the surprising Marc egotistical blindness more "self-concerned" by his ambiguous relationship with his sister by his superior pot of glue or by the mother of the dead girl with whom he formed a relationship stunning.

In the heat of southern France as one imagines that Djian suffocates its characters grappling with the everyday, the mundane and boredom. Without vehemence, without fear or without that hint of remorse, the reluctant hero wanders through his anxiety the next day with the verve of an animal in hibernation. Off, it crosses the world sometimes rediscovering his heart can recover to beat. Here, promiscuity and the body does not cheat more, they aggregate to forget themselves and be reborn. Djian mastered this slow, this callous indifference when life does not lead, she suffered. He grinds the casualness and quietly engaged in unhealthy pleasures, but delightful, a write larded splinters that puts brilliantly from the stupor of the country inaccessible to the player characters to shreds. Here there is a discernible unease, a frightful fall which can only do everything in its path explode. A cluster bomb.

Get Married Congratulation Message

Two films: "Helen, autopsy of a Disappearance" by Christine Molloy & Joe Lawlor and "local solutions to global disorder" by Coline Serreau

"Helen, autopsy of a Disappearance"

Written, produced and directed by Christine Molloy & Joe Lawlor
Cast: Annie Townsend, Sandie Malia, Dennis Jobling ...
Nationality: British
Genre: Drama Duration
: 1:19
Released: April 7, 2010

What strange trip it "Helen" co-directed by Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor. In only 1:19, this object filmed not quite identified begins with a haunting generic cradled a soft light and quiet at idle and lascivious heady. Then, in the heart of the matter, the viewer is immersed in the unexplained disappearance of a teenage girl and the investigation that goes with it ... But now, the film does not linger there. Too easy. He prefers to take Helen, a young teenager cleared to take the place of true missing to help the rebuilding of the police drama. We therefore interfere in the maze of hints that both philosophical thriller. The filmmakers have used amateur actors in the game for a very educational film seemed to combine fiction and nonfiction. They focus on the lack of identity and what happened to the missing orphan as a gaping hole in his story that does not exist. They take their time, following the discovery of Helen in its absolute opposite to build: a beloved daughter of her parents, although in his sneakers and accompanied by a boyfriend.
From this intimacy there, they take us a little lost in planes which are inserted sequences while the voiceover, that of Helen, is for the disappeared, wonders about his own fate and its desires something else. Molloy and Lawlor engaged in a decidedly minimalist achievement despite omnipresent music, matting the corner of my eye as Gus Van Sant's "Elephant." In this sometimes awkward gait, it is enough to stay on the roadside, wedged between perplexity and trouble for this young girl in search of herself, who walks in the footsteps of misfortune in search of its rebirth. Nothing quite unhealthy in the first feature film, but this ambition just meaningful that the vacuum just waiting to be filled with humanity.

"Local solutions for global disorder"

Director: Coline Serreau
Duration: 1:53
Nationality: French
Genre: Documentary
Released: April 7, 2010

Hello, Earth?! It a return to no load to the Foodland that Coline Serreau ("Three Men and a Cradle", "Saint-Jacques ... Mecca ...") invites us into his documentary. Traveling the world (India, Africa, South America, Ukraine, France ...), the director is in fact a party to the search for these people who daily work in their small-scale agriculture that is more willing guinea pigs for laboratories, chemicals and industrial groups who sacked her last 70 years.
film clearly activist at a time when the carbon tax falls to the French to oblivion and that the Copenhagen Summit is a distant memory, "Global Solutions .... "Furrow saving and motivating to meet researchers, farmers, associations, foundations, philosophers ... They provide a serious light, playful and full sense of what could just change things: do not cheat the earth by injecting substances that pollute not only its production but that is jeopardizing the future of humanity in relation to food. Despite a statement to the apocalyptic overtones, the documentary offers a surprisingly common solutions Continent à l’autre.
